AMB was founded by 4 partners consisting of two expert muscle physiologists specializing in X-ray diffraction, one muscle modeling scientist, and one business professional interested in healthcare-related industries. The goal of the group was to provide access to this unique method to all researchers while also improving data collection hardware and analysis software.
From the scientists’ own research, they began to innovate how muscle X-ray diffraction science done to speed up and standardize the experimental process, with specific focus on sample collection hardware, analysis, and interpretation software. It is from these experiences that they realized that commercializing their innovations into a full-service core facility would provide the cost-effective, high-throughput, high-quality muscle diffraction experimentation craved by drug developers, biotechnology companies, and healthcare markets.
